Geranium Oil |
Scientific name of geranium is Pelargonium graveolens and its floral aroma is sweet and intense. There are many beneficial powers and healing properties of geranium which I have listed below. Geranium’s floral aroma is intensely sweet just like rose and therefore geranium is good for physical and emotional balancing. Geranium belongs to Geraniaceae family of flowering plants. It is interesting to note that there are up to 500 species of geranium, The essential oil of the geranium is known for its healing effects on the skin. It is used to soothe dry skin, reduce cellulite through massage, and even to help clear the complexions of those with naturally oily skin. The aroma of geranium essential oil is often used as a stabilizing influence, calming both the mind and body. In this way, the scent helps to restore one's equilibrium. The soothing nature of the aroma also works to bring your emotions back to more relaxing levels when you need reclaim that balance. |
Coleus Extract Oil |
Roots of Coleus is used as an extract for the forskolin, which has been extensively studied for its use in the treatment of allergies, respiratory problems, cardiovascular diseases, glaucoma, psoriasis, hypothyroidism and weight loss. Forskolin increases Cyclic AMP and appears to have additional actions that are due to its ability to alter a number of membrane transport proteins. Coleus forskohlii has also been proposed as a treatment for psoriasis, because that disease appears to be at least partly related to low levels of cyclic AMP in skin cells. The roots are also used in treatment of worms. The root parts is claimed to allay burning in festering boils. When mixed with mustard oil, the root is applied to eczema and skin infections. The plant is also used for veterinary purposes. |
Basil / Tulsi Oil |
Tulsi maintains the health of the throat chest and lungs. In fact, it helps protect the entire respiratory tract. It is an anti-inflammatory. Tulsi helps to protect the physiology from garavisha--environmental toxins and pollution. It helps to purify the atmosphere. Tulsi is also a skin rasayana.
